Hong Kong. Its name inspires visions of a chaotic, unkam-packed city with soaring skyscrapers, thick smog, endless noodle stands, big finance, and wild nights out. It’s one of my favorite cities in the world, and I relish any chance to visit. The fast pace creates a sense of permanent change, and the crowds, multiculturalism, and food keep me continuously coming back. Oh, the food! I could sit bent over a noodle bowl all day long!
It is a busy city of eight million inhabitants with one of the biggest hub airports in the world. It can be overwhelming for many visitors, especially those not used to crowded places. And, with so much to do here, one can scratch one’s head about where to start in order get the most out of the trip.

This is where the iconic images of busy streets, rickshaw-taxis and skyscrapers originate from. Hong Kong Island, particularly the North Shore area, is at the heart of the region in every sense of the word; home to the central district and all of the best nightlife, restaurants and more that Hong Kong has to offer. Amazed by the architecture and looking up to incredible buildings, SILIS perfectly blended in. :-)

Occupying the 25th floor of the Prince’s Building, Sevva is rather special and was my favourite bar of the whole trip. The beautifully-lit roof terrace provides incredible views of Hong Kong and is the best place to watch the fireworks and ‘Symphony of Lights’ Laser Show. It’s the ideal place to entertain clients, grab some after work drinks or simply enjoy some cocktails with friends. And that's exactely what we did! The perfect margaritha in a perfect surrounding.

SOFT SHELL CRAB
A must-eat dish in Hong Kong! I tried the soft shell crab pad-thai : springy noodles are served with soft-shell crab. The stir-fied noodles were nice and smoky with great wok hei. It came in a generous portion and were cooked just right, while the soft-shell crab and aromatic crushed peanuts added a wonderful texture to the dish. The tastiest part was the flavourful crabmeat – soft with a fresh umami taste. Feeling hungry again!

A centre of wealth, opportunity and diversity, Shenzhen perfectly encapsulates the remarkable, relentless development experienced throughout China over the past few decades. The city's towering skyscrapers, busy markets, exciting theme parks and constantly developing cultural and entertainment scene make it a great place to visit for those that want to come face to face with a bolder, more modern China that doesn't conform to the traditional image.
